A Sweet Little Painting…

Fairy Painting, Tending Her Garden by Janell Mithani

Tending Her Garden, Acrylic on canvas, 8″ x 10″, by Janell Mithani

This sweet little fairy painting is a smaller size than I usually create.  It is just 8″ x 10″ and I usually work in 16″ x 20″ size or larger.  I had bought these new fun “twinkle” acrylic paints from ColourArte to use in some of my art workshops, so I needed to do some painting with them to see how they worked on canvas.  I also wanted to see if they would mix with my regular acrylic paints. They worked great! I loved the iridescent shine they have and how it is just enough to not overwhelm the painting.  You can find them at http://www.colourarte.com/.  The little fairy was added in right at the last-minute.  I decided she needed to be “Tending Her Garden.”

Have a wonderful, creative, day, Janell

  1. It’s pretty awful, Janell, but thank you for asking. Last Sunday morning my precious rescue puppy died and this morning I’m trying to keep my sweet cow alive from an incurable mastitis until I can arrange to have her put down and then try to get her calf to take a bottle. This is one of the hardest times I’ve ever had to go through. Wish I could fly away like a fairy!

  2. Susan, I am so, so sorry to hear about your puppy and cow. My fairies and I are sending you comforting thoughts and I am hoping for the best with the calf.
