I have decided to move my online jewelry store from the StorEnvy platform to Etsy. To prepare for my virtual move, I am having a big sale on my StorEnvy site. 30% off everything in my shop!
Just type in the code MOVE30 at checkout to receive 30% off your entire order! Sale ends June 30th, 2015. http://www.janellmithanijewelry.storenvy.com..
Even though it’s a virtual move, it’s been lot’s of work. I’ve read so many articles on SEO lately, I dreamed about it! 🙂 I want to make sure I set up my store as well as possible. I have learned a lot about having an online store with my StorEnvy site, including realizing it is not the right platform for my artisan jewelry. I’m planning to open my Etsy store on July 1, 2015.
Also, If you have a store on Etsy (or not) , I’d love to hear any advice you would like to share. I’d really appreciate it! Thanks!
Have a wonderful, creative, day, Janell
Good luck at your new location. I have an etsy store I never use but am intending to reopen it over the summer.

I was just looking at your jewellery website, you have some beautiful gems!!! I don’t really wear jewellery myself these day, for some reason I find it irritating – distracting. Might just be too many years not wearing it! But I do have relatives and friends who love it, so I’ll let them know of your Etsy Store. Do you have a link to it yet?
Just wondering if you’ve tried advertising your jewellery on a Tumblr blog with direct links to your products? I have various Tumblr blogs and I’ve noticed it’s generally a much younger world over there! Just thinking it might be a good place to make yourself known and find a larger viewing platform for potential buyers. I see lots of jewellery and fashion blogs on Tumblr – they go well together. Also, if you have a dedicated jewellery blog, you could open an account with Bloglovin. It’s a great way to advertise that kind of blog. I’m on there myself with my blogs, but not entirely convinced it’s much use for a general writing or poetry blog. But jewellery and fashion – oh yes, packed full of it! 🙂

Hi Suzy, thanks for looking at my store and the great advice. My Etsy store is at http://www.etsy.com/shop/janellmithani My store is just my name, I have prints of my art on it, too. I will check out Tumbler and Bloglovin. I have been using Instagram a lot lately and that seems to be working. It’s interesting selling online. I’ve been selling art and jewelry at shows and galleries for years, but selling online is a whole new adventure! Thanks!
